MediOwl x Gesellschaft der Innovationen

It is official! We have secured our first funding thanks to the Ministry of Education and Research. We got the chance to participate in a “Matchathon” format where we met many different people and startups. This format allowed us to further shape our business model, tech principles and also our mission and vision at MediOwl as every person we met managed to have an impact on us. This is only the beginning as now we have embarked a 4 month journey where we will be accompanied by the “vonMorgen” coaching agency and the team of the “Gesellschaft der Innovation” to further refine our business model, story telling and our startup. For many more opportunities like this to come!

MediOwl x Circular Hackfest

After TMS our team was on the hunt for a new hackathon to challenge us and help us further refine our prototype. Because of this, our tech team join the Cirucular Hackfest, participating on the health challenge, where it was requested to develop a device that could monitor certain biomarkers powered by solar energy. This was an amazing opportunity for our team not to only reduce our current prototype but also to learn about different technologies and how the application of solar based technologies could make our product more sustainable. We are extremely grateful with Panasonic, Michael Spunt and the Circular Hackfest Organizers for giving us the opportunity for participating in this exciting event. Looking forward to our next Hackathon!

MediOwl x TUM Incubator

We are proud to announce that we have received the support of the TUM Incubator thanks to Ivana Hecimovic and Joanna Whyte and now count with office space. The TUM Incubator is MediOwl´s home. Here we meet weekly to further discuss our business´insights and also our next steps. We are proud to be part of this amazing network of founders and to have the opportunity to learn from so many successful experiences.

Think.Make.Start Winners: Think Award

It all began at the TUM´s course “Think Make Start” where the not only the first prototype of our product “InflammAid” was developed but also where the idea was first thought and developed. Think.Make.Start is a 2 week course where students from different disciplines meet to develop business ideas and turn them into real life products. The team consisted of a Business Expert, 4 technical developers and 1 problem expert, in this case a medicine student. We are proud of our achievements during TMS and to call this the birthplace of MediOwl!
